Disasters can strike anywhere, leaving a trail of devastation. But communities can be empowered to prepare for, respond to, and recover from these events. As part of HRDP, PPHF is committed to building disaster resilience in needy area through a comprehensive training program designed to equip community members with the knowledge and skills necessary to face these challenges. The trainings were conducted on 29th February, 2024 at Disaster Management Training Field, Deobeel, Namsai district by Dept. of Disaster Management. More than 30 youths from different villages attended the training programme where they had an active interaction on how to manage floods in the low lying areas and locally available resources available that can be used during flood conditions. Along with that, several other awareness and life-saving methods were taught to the participants by the expert consultant and volunteers. This training program is just one step towards building a culture of disaster preparedness in Namsai district. Through collaboration and capacity building, PPHF aims to empower communities to face disasters with confidence and emerge stronger.
