Scope for Work |
In the second phase, PPHF is implementing Project PRANAA with the state and local authorities at 3 upgraded PHCs of Bengaluru in Karnataka, to meet the unmet needs of NCDs for underprivileged population. This program is being implemented by PPHF in Karnataka with support from GE Healthcare to leverage the ongoing efforts on NCD program at the HWC/CHC level and strengthening the NCD service delivery further through community awareness and mobilization, upskilling of health care workers for early NCD screening, diagnosis, and management.
Under this initiative PPHF is inviting proposal from interested subject matter experts, research firm for below Task,
Task: To conduct Training need assessment with situational analysis for Project sites in Bangalore under Project PRANAA.
This will present a detailed baseline report offering a snapshot of the current scenario. It shall serve as a benchmark for assessing the impact and effectiveness of interventions under project PRANAA. Conducting a Training Needs Assessment (TNA) proves beneficial in discerning the training requirements of the target group. It is imperative to comprehend the present situation and pinpoint areas requiring enhancement or addressing gaps through capacity-building initiatives.
Objectives:
- To understand the community needs, awareness level, beliefs, behaviors-practices and overall perceptions on NCDs.
- To explore various factors (both demand and supply side) affecting service delivery on NCDs.
- To understand training needs, knowledge, and capacity of the health Professionals on prevention and management of NCDs
Geographical Focus:
Bangalore: Avalahalli PHC, Doddatumkur PHC, and Siddhapura PHC
Deliverables:
- Baseline Report with detailed TNA: A comprehensive baseline report will be produced, offering a detailed snapshot, which will act as a benchmark to measure the intervention’s impact and effectiveness.
- Report to have detailed methodology and data collection tools.
- Report to be converted to for short research article for publication.
Timeline: One month, Report to be submitted on 28 Feb 24
