Under the Holistic Rural Development Program (HRDP), supported by HDFC Bank Parivartan’s CSR initiative and implemented by People to People Health Foundation (PPHF), a series of ‘Torrent Training Initiatives on Flood & Landslide Management’ were organized across intervention villages of Gyalshing District, West Sikkim. In collaboration with the SSB 72 BN Disaster Management Team, the sessions focused on enhancing community preparedness for floods and landslides through hands-on mock drills and emergency response training, demonstrations on evacuation procedures and coordinated disaster action, and active participation from students, teachers, and local residents to foster grassroots resilience.
